The deceased is a native of Anambra State but was a resident of Boi Village in Bogoro LGA of Bauchi State where he runs his daily business of selling provisions. According to reports, Chukwujekwu was reportedly found dead inside a hotel room on December 1, 2022 which was on a Thursday. two days after he was declared missing.
The cause of his death has been a mysterious issue to his family and everyone because no one could trace what led to his sudden disappearance in the first place before he died. A member of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) around the area he died, in the person of Comrade Joel Daniel said that the incident has caused confusion among the people in that residence as no one can tell or trace the cause of his death.
He declared that they found the body of the deceased in a hotel room after he went missing for some days. In addition the case was reported to the Police Division in Bogoro and also the PCRC. However, sources said that the deceased participated in the Igbo end-of-year party, which was held on Wednesday night in his area which he attended as he was an active member of the Igbo community meeting in the area.
Until his death, he has made name and has achieved titles for himself as he was Onyewetehi of Nandi and changed as the Kaigama Boi by the paramount ruler of Boi Mal Bala Likita. He survived by his wife, Mrs Grace Chukwunonso and three children. "One Mrs Grace
"Mrs Grace Chukwunonso a 27 years old woman, reported at the Bogoro Divisional headquarters on 30 November, 2022 that her husband, Mr. Chukwunonso Chukwujekwu went to his provision shop situated along Boi and ever since the last time she set her eyes on him she hasn't seen him again" the PPRO stated.
"Immediately she reported, the DPO, Bogoro led a team of Detectives to organise a search party in the area. Consequently, he was found dead in a hotel room situated at Tudun Wada area of Boi in Bogoro LGA lying on the floor with saliva and foams from his mouth." he said
The DPO and his men evacuated the corpse to the General Hospital, Bogoro where he was certified dead by a medical doctor on duty. Presently, the Commissioner of Police has ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of the death. Investigation is ongoing," he added
